St. Augustine Parish provides four categories of ministries:

Jesus and fisherman

Social Justice

As a Christian community, we are committed to the life of Christ and the Church through our service to the greater community.

Often times in the Catholic faith we refer to this as Social Justice. Some of the ways our community seeks to reach out to the greater community include: as a local organizing committee with Faith In Action East Bay, St. Vincent de Paul, Oakland Elizabeth House and Rosary for Peace.

Please visit our Social Justice page to read our column, Joy of the Gospel: Social Justice Corner

Prayer and Sacraments

As a Catholic community, prayer and sacraments are the center of our faith life.

These include: Infant Baptism, First Communion for Children, Confirmation, Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA), Reconciliation, Wedding, Funeral, Prayer

Please visit our Prayer and Sacraments page or contact the Parish Office by phone or email for additional information regarding any of the sacraments.
